The San Diego Tracking Team (SDTT) is committed to monitoring and preserving the wildlife of San Diego County, a hotspot of biodiversity. We welcome the participation of all people from our region's multicultural population who are interested in our mission. With diversity in our volunteers, leadership, and educators comes a broad, inclusive perspective, ensuring the success of SDTT's stewardship of our county's treasured wildlife and habitats.

Sustain and grow the San Diego Tracking Team (SDTT) to support monitoring of wildlife in San Diego County.
Regularly monitor the presence (and absence) of certain target and rare species that reflect the health of the ecosystem, and record those data consistently for all of San Diego County.
Provide SDTT data and analysis to enable thoughtful development, conservation, and restoration planning in San Diego County.
Participate in San Diego County efforts to monitor and improve the effectiveness of planned conservation efforts (e.g., MSCP, MHCP).
Facilitate San Diego community awareness, involvement, and appreciation of the environment and the importance of conserving habitat by conducting public outreach and offering education opportunities.
